Youthful Beauty Starts Within

Aging is unstoppable! I may be too harsh to say it, but it is. But the good news is, we can do something to keep its pacing slow. We have so many products available in the market nowadays that has this effective “anti-aging” content. Some would also prefer taking supplements with “anti-oxidants” that would help you maintain your beautiful and youthful skin. We may have asked ourselves why there are people who can maintain their youthful beauty while others would really look older than their age.

There are different factors that can affect our physical demeanor, but the most important is “THE FOOD WE EAT”.
Having a healthy diet is very important. I understand that this could be something quite hard to maintain, but its the most effective way to stay youthful. If we are internally healthy then that will also reflect externally. The creams and make up we use can be ineffective no matter how much we apply if our skin is unhealthy. So make these antioxidant-rich be on top of your shopping list. Start with the less expensive but much effective “Fruits and Veggies”.
There are different lists of anti-oxidant-Rich Fruits and Veggies according to Readers Digest.
They’ve listed the TOP 10. Researchers at the Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University figured it out by measuring various fruits and vegetables for their ORAC (oxygen radical absorbance capacity), a fancy way of saying their antioxidant power. Here are the top 10 performers in each category:
FRUITS
1. Prunes 2. Raisins 3. Blueberries 4. Blackberries 5. Strawberries 6. Raspberries 7. Plums
8. Oranges 9. Red grapes 10. Cherries
VEGETABLES
1. Kale 2. Spinach 3. Brussels sprouts 4. Alfalfa sprouts 5. Broccoli flowers 6. Beets
7. Red bell peppers 8. Onions 9. Corn 10. Eggplant
In addition from the listed above, having enough sleep is also important. It helps our body heal and repair the heart and blood vessels. Chronic sleep loss can trigger health problems like high blood pressure, and a decrease in the immune system’s power. Without enough sleep, we will look sick and weak, and that can make us look old.
Have a regular exercise too. It doesn’t necessarily mean going to the gym, you can try simple exercises like walking, running, sit-ups, biking, or if you’re easily bored, try video games, the ones with the extraordinary ways like moving or dancing, without using the controller (wiikinectxbox 360). Trust me, you’ll really sweat it all out if you try it. Its also important to avoid vices like smoking cigarettes, excessive drinking of alcohol, taking unprescribed drugs, etc.. These have chemicals that are really dangerous to your health
Of course, the easiest and most effective as well is BEING HAPPY! Always wear a smile on your face. Do not over-think and never allow stress to overpower you. As the saying goes, “Laughter is the best medicine..”, I can say that this is the best way to keep yourself young. It can lift your mood and it’s also the most powerful stress-relief medicine of all time. :)
